Our Story
Did you know that Clothes Encounters was originally founded as a way to provide much needed clothing to Vietnamese boat people and refugees in the early 1980s?
Its true!
The donations and enthusiastic response from the local Ottawa community soon overwhelmed the founding partners homes; so they decided to open a store to sell the extra clothes and raise money directly for the refugees.
Today, Clothes Encounters continues to donate clothing and raise money for new communities in Ottawa!

Clothes Encounters has an ever-changing selection of apparel for both men and women. Every visit is a fun, new shopping experience! Our labels run from Akris to Zara, in a variety of sizes.
